SHIPPING & RECEIVING Specialist

Full-Time- 4-day work schedule/ | On-site

($) Start pay rate: $20-$21 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to oversee daily logistics operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and support production through efficient material flow. This role is critical to maintaining on-time shipments and organized warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working within structured systems, and able to balance data-focused responsibilities with other physical responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving Operations

• Execute daily shipping and receiving activities, including loading/unloading materials
• Coordinate local deliveries and manage driver schedules
• Oversee drilling schedules and support production timelines
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Verify incoming purchase orders (POs) and ensure proper inventory storage
• Collaborate with production teams to meet company goals

Documentation & Inventory Accuracy

• Process shipping orders, invoices, and records within the ERP system
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
• Inspect incoming materials for compliance with required specifications, including government standards when applicable

Carrier & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight providers
• Ensure timely scheduling of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Track shipments and troubleshoot delivery issues as needed

Qualifications

Experience

• 2–4 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus

Technical Skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Mie Trak)
• Familiarity with FedEx/UPS shipping software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment

Certifications

• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
